01 · Mission briefVAL-01

Independent, not alone.

Captive agents sell one company. Solo agents figure it out alone. Valadin agents get carrier choice and a team.

We contract agents with twelve carriers, teach a process that works at the kitchen table, and stay on the line when a case gets hard.

When one carrier declines a client, you have eleven more to quote. When underwriting gets complicated, you have people to call. And when you are new to insurance, we point you to the course and exam for your state and help you through it. Licensed agents and people starting fresh are both welcome, part time or full time.

Questions before you apply.

Don’t see yours? Add it to your application and we will cover it on your call.

FR-01Do I need a license to apply?

No. You can apply before you are licensed. We point you to the prelicensing course and exam for your resident state and help you through it.

FR-02Are Valadin agents employees?

No. Valadin agents are independent contractors. You set your own schedule and earn commission on the policies you write.

FR-03How does compensation work?

You earn commission on the business you write, based on your contract level with each carrier. We walk through the full structure on your call before you sign anything. Income depends on your own effort and is never guaranteed.

FR-04Which carriers will I write with?

Americo, Ethos, American Amicable, Instabrain, Transamerica, Chubb, CICA (Citizens), Corebridge, Baltimore Life, Royal Neighbors of America, National Life Group and F&G, subject to each carrier’s approval and your licensed states.

FR-05Which states can I work in?

Any state where you hold an active resident or nonresident license and the carrier has appointed you. Many agents add nonresident licenses as they grow.

FR-06Can I start part time?

Yes. Many agents start part time while they learn and build their book, then move to full time when they are ready.

FR-07What costs should I plan for?

Applying is free. Licensed agents usually cover their own license fees, exam fees and errors and omissions insurance. We go over the specifics on your call.

FR-08Captive or independent?

A captive agent sells one company’s products. An independent agent compares several carriers to find the right fit for each client. Valadin agents are independent.
